I remember gas at 24 or 25 cents a gallon, during a gas war. I had heard of gas at a huge station in Utah at 20, but that was a long time ago.
About that time a new car could be had for less than a thousand and a job might pay a dollar a day. So I guess it all has to be put in some context!
