Oh, it's a long long while
From May to December
But the days grow short
When you reach September
When the autumn weather
Turns leaves to flame
One hasn't got time
For the waiting game
Oh, the days dwindle down
To a precious few
September, November
And these few precious days
I'll spend with you
These precious days
I'll spend with you
Oh, the days dwindle down
To a precious few
September, November
And these few precious days
I'll spend with you
These precious days
I'll spend with you
These precious days
I'll spend with you

The county says I need a permit to build anything over 200 square feet, so I had two smaller buildings put up and now I am getting ready to frame in a covered deck between the two buildings.

deconstruction

Decades ago I built a temporary building to shelter my daughters and wife while I was building our house.

Through the years I have insulated the building, put a new steel roof in place, sheetrock, paint, custom cabinets, the whole thing.

A few years ago I sold the land but this year the new owner gave me permission to remove the building. That hats been the project in August. The weather was often very hot and it was hard for me to get too many hours working.

But now the building (and a smaller one on both sides) are down. The materials are stacked at my new place. IT was a big job, but it saved me a good hunk of money. It is amazing how much insulation goes into a small 144 square feet building.

Now to use this material to build a covered deck and a garage for my teardrop trailer.

By the time I get it all together, it is liable to be cold weather!

I’ll hurry!

Bridge over Snake River. Twin Falls Idaho.
I always get a tiny bit nervous driving over it!
