Happy Happy my daughter

Yesterday was the birthday of my third born.

For the next six weeks, she and her older sister will be the same age. I think some call that “dutch twins.” They have been good for each other through the years.

Birthday daughter lives in the San Francisco area. Wheels turn north and south, so see each other with some frequency. Her older son graduates from the University of Southern California (which, interestingly, is not a state school, but private!).

She has always been the outgoing daughter, the one always concerned about the welfare of others (her mother was really good at that one also). She has been an inspiration to all.

Her career path began when she was in high school. She worked for a small  print shop. Since then she has worked at all phases of the print industry, ending up as a graphic designer, the kind that is well paid for her work.

So, Dear Deanna, happy day after your birthday. I love you. (So does your new step-mom!)
